Patrick Kennedy

President

My name is Patrick Kennedy & I am the President of K and K Technical Group. I bring over 10 years of experience in recruitment, Project / site management, and operations to the role. A graduate of Gateway Technical College with a degree in Manufacturing Engineering, I have a strong foundation in both technical knowledge and leadership. My expertise is in project management which has allowed me to build long standing relationships largely within the automobile industry.  I focus each day to lead by example, and demonstrate a high level of professionalism with both our clients and our own employees. In my free time, I enjoy anything outdoors from hunting to golfing.

He is passionate about building meaningful connections and helping candidates find the right opportunities to grow their careers. Outside of work, Andrew enjoys exploring the outdoors with his pup cinder, cooking, brewing beer, and spending quality time with his family.

Jeff Gurney

Business Consultant/Analyst

Hello, my name is Jeff Gurney. At K&K Technical, I provide guidance & hands on support in a number of key areas, some of which are organizational development, succession planning, short- & long-term business strategy planning. I use proven planning techniques to support continuous improvement of existing systems & procedures. I work with the teams in developing & implementing new procedures to simplify the business needs while creating built in cross checks as a method of sustainment.
I also support our teams in Project management though the development of Operational Plans (O/P’s). With roles & responsibilities clearly defined, this helps the teams to successfully navigate change. I assist in developing & implementing new procedures to simplify the business needs while creating built in cross checks as a method of sustainment. To experience 1st hand this team of professionals at K&K take some of these methods or procedures & use them on their own on the creation of their own new tasks has been personally rewarding.


Earlier in my life I was offered a once in a lifetime opportunity to work for Toyota in a greenfield automobile manufacturing facility. I started there with the very 1st production team hired and spent considerable time in Japan studying the Toyota Production System (TPS). This provided an amazing opportunity for me to learn the true art of Kaizen, changepoint management, Lean Manufacturing Principles, Continuous Improvement Methodology, PDCA, to name a few. Throughout my 30+ years at Toyota I experienced 1st hand the facility grow from a few hundred employees in one plant to over 9000 employees in three plants. Over the years I supported several other new Toyota manufacturing facilities greenfield launches as well. The one assignment that was most challenging was leading a team to bring the 1st Lexus vehicle from Japan to be built in North America. The network of dedicated true professionals that I developed over my career at Toyota still benefits me today, and I remain fiercely dedicated to them all as well & available to them all whenever needed.

Tracey Cornett

Administrative Assistant

As Administrative Assistant, I play a key role ensuring smooth operations by managing weekly time and expense invoices as well as assisting with payroll.
I am responsible for organizing and tracking time logs, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, and payroll.
I work closely with finance and HR teams to ensure that all financial records are up-to-date and compliant.
Before joining K&K Technical Group I was a manufacturing professional with 27 years automotive industry.
Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky where I retired in 2021. After retiring, I realized I wanted to continue utilizing the valuable practices and skills I developed at Toyota. This led me to pursue a role at K&K Technical Group where I contribute to ongoing business objectives and help drive results.
I am committed to efficient office management, precise invoicing, and seamless payroll.

General Manager

Over 20 years’ combined experience in Client/Account Management and Recruiting. Industries include Engineering, IT and Healthcare. I joined K&K Technical Group 13 years ago, starting as a recruiter then promoted to Recruiting Manager and now General Manager overseeing client management, recruiting and new business. I am an alumnus of Cincinnati State Technical College with a degree in Business. My commitment and passion to our employees and clients is to provide excellent service in all areas. Each employee and each client are different and building strong relationships is key to our success here at K&K Technical Group.

Brian R Hansen

Chief Financial and Operations Officer

I joined K&K technical Inc. in 2024 as the Company’s Chief Financial and Operations Officer with responsibility for the company’s accounting, finance, and long-term strategic planning. I have more than 20 years of Accounting and Tax experience, where I have focused on timely and accurate financial reporting, operational improvements and on strengthening internal controls for various industries.

Prior to joining K&K, I founded and guided two companies that helped clients focus on the areas of Financial Reporting, Financial Analysis, and Technical Accounting and Policy. Clients included large multi-state organizations, government agencies with payroll processing to income tax and cash flow analysis for multi-location franchises. Most recently, I founded and exited a multi partner private equity firm focusing on the roll up strategy within the finance industry leading the investment and operational strategy.



I began my career as a Supervisory Senior Auditor and Tax Specialist with RSM, the 5th largest global accounting firm and Elliott Davis, LLC, a regional CPA firm. I earned a dual degree in Accounting and Financial Management with a minor in Economics and an area concentration in Financial Planning from Clemson University.



Away from the office, I enjoy spending time with my son, golfing and attending Clemson football games.

Tom Ranft

Human Resources General Manager

Hi, my name is Tom Ranft. I am the Human Resources General Manager at K&K Technical Group, where I oversees the company operations. I am a focused leader who delivers employee relations and motivation to help harness the full power of one of our most valuable assets – our employees. I am dedicated to providing an exceptional and positive employee experience, creating robust corporate cultures that promote continuous business growth and motivating employees to realize their full potential and bring their best to the job.
I started my career in 1990 with the United States Navy, where I served 24 years of service, 13 of those years as a Fire Controlman Technician where I was deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom in support of the war on terrorism. In my remaining 11 years of service I supported the Career Recruiting Force as a Talent Acquisition Manager and Human Resources Manager throughout the mid-west and southern states. During my tenure in the military, I received various awards including Navy Commendation Medals (x3), Navy Achievement Medal (x9). During my service I also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.
I joined the K&K Technical Group team in 2017 as a technical recruiter, then advanced to the role of Human Resources Manager in 2022 and Human Resources General Manager in 2023. I am dedicated to the continuous growth of K&K Technical Group as well as providing top level service to our employees through payroll, benefits, employer support and employee growth.
